Developments in the mobile industry continue to enhance the user experience with an astonishing pace. Useful and enjoyable applications are what users want to have in their handsets. Iphone, Android, Symbian platforms, and now soon the upcoming Windows phone are rapidly changing the developer environment. New and easy to use interfaces together with readily available API´s attract more and more designers to produce applications for the mobile user. The apps market is beginning to reach real maturity. Today there are both good tools and well functioning sales channels that combined mean that mobile developers can make a big money on their know-how. Or?
Which is the right way?
Really how open is the developer environment? And, which paths guarantee a financial reward for the invested work? Which platform should I choose to develop on? How are Android phones challenging the new Iphone OS4? We’re actually going to try and answer these questions, and many more during one very intense day on 10th June at the Astoria in Stockholm during the most useful developer summit ever – The Nordic Mobile Developer Summit. There will be sessions on user driven development scenarios, cross-platform pros and cons as well as speed workshops about Mosync, Android, Iphone/Ipad, Symbian and Ericsson Labs API:s. Get updated on what’s waiting round the corner and engage in the debate.
Android, Iphone, Symbian and Windows Phone
The speakers will include amongst others Erik Hellman from Sony Ericsson Labswho has promised to give the latest tips on Android developments. Jack Nutting will share his insights in developing for Iphone and Ipad and Anders Graffman at the Apegroup will explain how they handled large user groups in their largest app-case. Nokias Gian-Luca Cioletti gives insight into Symbian and Maemo and it would be really silly to miss Microsoft’s Ben Riga and Neil Hutson and their presentation on Windows Phone 7 – a new beginning.
We are quite simply picking out the best that Sweden has in terms of mobile development – quality presentations, technology focus, the debates, business models and, of course, excellent networking!
